Using this tool, you will be able to protect your website from being viewed from particular IP addresses. For example, if you are aware of any malicious visitosr to your website, you can use the IP Blocker tool to block their access.
Here is how to block particular IP addresses:
1. Click the IP Blocker icon.
2. Choose a location (within your /public directory ) that you would like to protect.
Please note: If you protect a certain web directory, all its sub directories will inherit the protection. For example, if you protect your main /public/ directory, your entire website will be protected from being viewed by a list of specific IP addresses.
3. Enter the IP address you would like to block in the respective text field and click Add IP. If you need to block multiple IP addresses, you can use the Add more IPs link in order to expand the text field (You can enter more than one IP entry separated either by space, comma or ';' sign).
Please note: You can specify either full IP addresses, or partial networks. Example:
1. 10.10.1 – will block the entire network 10.10.1.x
2. 10.10.1.5 – will block this particular IP address
4. After the mentioned steps are completed, click the Protect Location button. At this point, the IP addresses specified in step 3 will not be able to access your website.
