PDF2Web

PDF2Web tool lets you convert PDF files to HTML format. The PDF file has to be on the server before conversion. Options are available for including images for conversion, providing Owner/User passwords, etc. Once submitted for conversion, the conversion status can be checked in the "History" section of the tool. Converted files (in .ZIP format), are available for download or extraction in the same section.

Upload PDF on the server

In order to convert PDF file to HTML you should firstly upload PDF file on the server:

1. Choose a directory from the drop-down menu to upload your file into.

2. Click “Browse” to locate a PDF file on your computer and select it in order to upload it.

3. Click “Upload”. Your PDF file will be uploaded into the directory chosen in step 1.

Convert from PDF to HTML

1. Once you have uploaded the PDF file(s) onto the server, use the Choose PDF File drop down menu to select the file you want to convert.

Note: Files larger than 3MB will not be processed. The converted HTML file may not have the exact formatting as the original PDF file.

2. Select conversion options

You can make use of the following conversion options:

a) Generate Images

Put a checkmark in respective checkbox if your PDF file contains images and you need these images to be converted to HTML.

b) Convert to a single HTML file

Use this option if you need multi pages PDF file to be converted to a single HTML page.

c) If your PDF file is protected by password, enter your password into the respective fields: PDF owner password or PDF user password.

d) If you need to be notified via email when conversion process is complete, enter an email address in Notify me via e-mail field.

3. Once you have chosen a PDF file and selected conversion options, click Covert to HTML button.

History

The PDF to HTML conversion takes time depending on the size of the file and the options chosen. This section keeps track of all submitted conversions. You can refresh this page at any time to get the latest status of your conversion(s). Converted files are stored in .ZIP format, in the same directory as the original PDF file. Converted files can be downloaded to your PC or extracted to the same directory as the .ZIP file.

History tab is showing the following details:

• Location of the file uploaded on the server.

• Submission time: when PDF file has been submitted for conversion.

• Conversion time: when PDF file has been converted to HTML.

• Status: results of conversion. Refer to the Status Legend on the bottom of the page to confirm whether the conversion was successful or not.

You can download a file to your local PC using the Download button.
